Amazon.in and Xiaomi witness record sales of Redmi 4 on the launch day in India

Xiaomi’s latest Redmi 4 exclusively available on Amazon.in which went on sale earlier today witnessed record sales. Following the 12:00 pm launch, Amazon.in and Mi.com sold more than 250,000 units within 8 minutes of launch.

Amazon.in witnessed huge interest with more than 10 million hits per minute on the site.

Redmi 4 which currently is available for customers in two variants, the 2GB RAM + 16 GB storage variant priced at Rs. 6,999 and the 3GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant which is priced at Rs. 8,999 witnessed over 2.3 million ‘notify me’ alerts from customers following the launch announcement on 16 May 2017.
